1. Organic Farming
Greenlife Organics is certified by the State of California Department of Food and Agriculture as an organic grower of Hemp. Being recognized as a state certified organic grower requires that Greenlife comply with a number of ongoing checks and inspection including:
1. We only use seeds which have been analyzed and approved by the State of California to ensure they comply with THC Guidelines: <0.3%.
2. We never introduce herbicides or pesticides to our crops. We use an organic biochar based soil.
3. We take soil and well water samples for testing on a continuous schedule.
4. All plants are visually inspected on a daily basis.
5. Harvesting practices are performed according to State Guidelines.
2. Extraction
Greenlife Organics CBD Oil production is overseen by Dr. Phil Millman, RPH, Pharm D., Hom., A.P.P. Dr. Millman is licensed to manufacture medicines, and incorporates pharmaceutical industry Good Manufacturing (cGMP) into every stage of production.
Unlike some CBD producers, who utilize inferior extraction solvents, like Carbon Dioxide (Co2) and Butane, Greenlife Organics uses only Pharmaceutical Grade Ethanol.
Only the Hemp Flowers are introduced into the extraction system, because the other plant parts require increased amounts of heat and ethanol to process. Maintaining low heat in the extraction system, below 48 degrees C, is essential to the quality of the end product, because high heat breaks down important phytochemicals in the Hemp plant, like Cannabinoids and Terpenes. Terpenes are a vital component to CBD Oil, allowing for maximum bioavailability of CBD Oil with human cannabinoid receptors. Low heat manufacturing helps ensure a consistent and high quality CBD Oil.
With the assistance of Tim DeSmet, a manufacturing engineer and steel fabricator, Greenlife Organics built a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical extraction system from scratch. The facility is FDA registered, and inspected routinely by the California Department of Public Health.
The system incorporate a .3 micron filtration process which removes 99% of all particulates. Each batch is sent to independent labs for testing to ensure that our CBD Oil is free of contaminants, including herbicides, pesticides and heavy metals.
